How long does it take?
About 2 months. Thanks to the indoor temperature, the grinder that reduces your organic waste into pieces as well as the mixer that allows good aeration and homogenization, the compost is in good conditions to compost quickly. This process is accelerated compared to compost in the garden (which takes between 6 to 12 months). Thanks to all the steps, you will obtain mature compost in just a few months.
What to put in the composter?
All your organic waste except bones, shells and pits because they decompose very very slowly as well as meat which carries diseases! Everything else can go in it: expired food, coffee grounds, your egg shells... Don't worry, even citrus fruits like lemons and oranges can be composted!
How come there are no smells?
The composting process we use is aerobic composting, that is, in the presence of oxygen. This composting process does not emit odors! In order to have odorless aerobic composting, air enters the composter via a fan. To avoid odors of waste that has just been thrown away or an undergrowth odor due to the compost, we have integrated a carbon filter. The latter filters the air that enters and exits.
